Introduction

The 2017 WSAVA Congress programme includes a stream presented by the WSAVA Vaccination Guidelines Group. The stream will consider the WSAVA canine and feline vaccination guidelines and the role of in-house serological testing in decisionmaking about canine and feline vaccination.

Although vaccination is a key element in preventative healthcare and primary veterinary practice, it is a rapidly changing field, with new scientific evidence and novel products continuing to emerge. It is important for veterinarians to remain up-to-date with the newest recommendations in order to provide the highest quality healthcare for their clients.

This open forum provides the opportunity to ask questions of two members of the Vaccination Guidelines Group. Your questions may not have arisen during the preceding series of lectures. Delegates may also wish to share experiences of vaccination issues that are particular to their own country.

The WSAVA vaccination guidelines document now includes 110 frequently asked questions and their answers.
