Goats are found in every area of Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, noted in Old Kuntunku and Dagiri, in which they also look for food, eat leftover food, destroy farm land and also contribute to the odor in the environment. Study was conducted to ascertain the various ways in which they behave and the implication to the environment. Interviews were conducted from different owners; questionnaires were distributed and analyzed; pictures were taken to ascertain the different behaviors. The findings show that individual populace allows their goats to roam about in search for food, some goats eat up the growing plants, crops - causing loss of agricultural produce. This implication is noted when harvesting the agricultural produce. Some goats sleep outside of completed buildings and the owners do not take care; some goats litter their faeces on the ground, thus causing pollution. Though the Federal Government and the Local Government have a lot of work to ensure that the environment is well kept and restriction of goat and suggestion were made to always keep goats in a good environment.
