A Cyber Café for Your Conference 

VIN shares a common mission with you: to help our profession and our colleagues.  Since 2001, VIN has enjoyed helping veterinary conferences provide access to e-mail, conference proceedings, social websites, and in some cases conference surveys for the attendees. Collaborations with, ISFM, ACVIM, ECVIM, ACVC, BSAVA, WVC, AAFP, and others succeed because each relationship is customized to best serve the needs of the Conference/Organization, Cyber Cafe MenuAttendees/Members, and the profession.

VIN’s ultimate goal for in this partnership is to provide a proven, valued and useful service to enhance a conference attendee's experience and their perceptions of the conference and VIN. The process of arranging for a successful Cyber Café involves working with you to determine the needs of your particular conference so that VIN can plan to the last detail a Cyber Café that will provide the maximum possible satisfaction to your attendees. 

You may choose:

  • To provide attendees with 24-hour access to e-mail and the internet if desired.
  • To provide access to your conference proceedings whether VIN hosts them or not
  • To provide access to a printer for conference proceedings, boarding passes etc. 
  • To add an attendee survey to the cyber café menu, or add up to any other three custom links for attendees (subject to VIN final approval).
  • To enhance your attendees experience by making it easy for them to stay in touch with their business and their family.

Why have VIN provide your Cyber Café?

Having access to e-mail and the internet is a convenience attendees really appreciate, and is something attendees are starting to expect.  When an attendee can check in at work and home regularly it makes it easier for them to be away during conference dates.  We currently provide Cyber Cafés at more than 30 conferences worldwide annually and at each of these the attendees thank us for providing this service.


What is the cost of providing a Cyber Café?

Our goal in working with you as a conference partner, rather than a vendor, is to make the cost of providing a Cyber Café as cost neutral as possible.  Traditionally the conference will provide the space necessary to set up the Cyber Café and the furniture (TBD based on Conference needs) and VIN will provide the equipment and pay for any internet or electrical costs associated with the Cyber Café. Although there are some costs associated with providing the Cyber Café we do try to minimize these by working closely with you and your staff.  VIN does not believe in paying a sponsorship fee for providing the Cyber Café. We believe in building a relationship with your attendee.


How much time and effort is involved on your part?Cyber Cafe Cart

Very little time or energy is required from you to provide a Cyber Café at your conference.  The VIN team will collaborate with conference staff to pick a location for the Cyber Café.  After that we ask that you assist us in identifying the necessary people to communicate with for internet and electrical needs.  The only other thing we need is to communicate the furniture needs so that you can make these available prior to our arrival at the conference.


Do we collect any data or market to your attendees?

VIN guarantees that we DO NOT collect any data at our Cyber Café.  If an attendee fills out a form for a TRIAL membership to VIN, this data is NEVER shared with anyone period. We believe in a passive marketing style at the Cyber Café. There is material about your conference and about VIN at the Cyber Café; however we do not actively market our services unless the attendee asks us for more information or a demonstration of VIN.


So why offer a VIN Cyber Café?

We believe in providing your attendee more than just a computer terminal.  The VIN staff has a vested interest in the veterinary community and as such provides a broader experience to your attendee when using the Cyber Café. For VIN, it is not just enough to offer easy access to a computer; we want to help your attendee find what they are looking for. We offer many options to the traditional cyber café experience:

  • Options for wireless access
  • Experienced and friendly staff
  • Up to date equipment and staff knowledgeable with today’s technology
