Cardiac Tumors in Dogs

This hour will focus primarily on hemangiosarcoma and aortic body tumors in dogs, their prevalence, and the physiologic challenges associated with them. There are many physiologic changes that can occur with atrial and aortic body tumors, including obstructions to blood flow through the heart, cardiac tamponade, and heart rhythm disturbances. Diagnostics and treatment of symptoms associated with these tumors will also be discussed.
