MHC Haplotyping in dogs with Acquired Myasthenia Gravis (Study Closed)

The purpose of this study is to determine if dogs with acquired myasthenia gravis have similar genes (MHC haplotype). We will use DNA collected from blood cells or from cells from the lining of the mouth to do the genetic analysis. The genetic analysis will be done in the Veterinary School at UC Davis.

Minimally-invasive laser ablation for management of intramural ureteral ectopia in dogs (Study Closed)
October 10, 2007

This prospective study will compare a new minimally invasive technique to a historical surgical control for the fixation for intramural ureteral ectopia, to identify differences in post-operative continence rates, level of post-operative urinary infections and parameters of pain in the first week post-intervention. In doing so we hope to determine whether there is a therapeutic advantage to this technique or if there is a significant decrease in post-operative pain.
