We hope to identify the nutrients that are associated with elevated pancreatic-specific serum markers in cats, which suggest pancreatic cell damage. And hence better understand what nutrient might possibly cause or aggravate pancreatitis and thus should be avoided in cats with or at risk of pancreatitis. We are surveying plasma cannabinoid concentrations in dogs or cats that are receiving any type of cannabinoid-based product. Part of the submission process is also completing a survey that can provide evidence/guidance regarding therapeutic response such that a plasma cannabinoid/response relationship can be built.
