Reproductive performance of Arab mares in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The average pregnancy duration was 335.5 ± 10.2 days. It was shorter in mares mated by day 9 postpartum than in those mated later.

Scintigraphic comparison of intra-arterial injection and distal intravenous regional limb perfusion for administration of mesenchymal stem cells to the equine foot
Both i.a. injection through the median artery without a tourniquet and i.v. regional limb perfusion performed through the lateral palmar digital vein under general anaesthesia are safe and reliable methods for administration of mesenchymal stem cells to the equine foot. The i.a. technique is preferred owing to the better distribution, but is technically more challenging. The feasibility of performing these techniques on standing horses remains to be investigated.

Adjunctive cryotherapy for pigmentary keratitis in dogs: a study of 16 corneas
Given the sensitivity to cold of melanocytes, cryotherapy is a viable adjunctive treatment for refractory severe corneal pigmentation. Only a few dogs were followed for more than 90 days; further study is necessary to evaluate the long-term safety and efficacy of soft cryotherapy.

I think the majority of these cases are due to over grooming.

Client With Many Pets Does Not Want To Sign Consent Form For Each Procedure
Instead of a frequent flier repeatedly signing consent forms, maybe it is time to consider drawing up a contract for services that spells out risks and each others' responsibilities for a specified period of time, perhaps annually.

    Equine Behavior
    February 4 - 28, 2015

This course covers normal equine behavior and learning abilities while introducing some of the science of ethology and learning theory. We look at how the equine brain deals with anxiety and fear and why these emotions stop the horse learning - one reason why horses seem to get stuck on one course of behavior.
