Bolton’s Handbook of Canine and Feline Electrocardiography, 2nd Edition
A personal tribute from VIN co-founder, Paul D. Pion, DVM, DipACVIM:

Gary Bolton, DVM, DACVIM was a pathfinder in veterinary cardiology. Gary and this text, first published in 1975, inspired and mentored me and many others to strive to live up to his high standards for professional excellence.

In the early 1980's Gary fell ill and ultimately succumbed to lymphoma. At that point, VIN Consultant, N. Joel Edwards, DVM, DACVIM, while running his busy specialty practice, stepped in and finished teaching cardiology to me and my classmates.

In 1987, as a tribute to Gary, Joel published this updated edition. It is with great pleasure that I and all at VIN honor Gary and Joel by making the updated text available online in the VIN Library in the Books and Cardio-Pulmonary Specialty Center sections.

The online text will be an evolving work, to reflect the many advances in our understanding of arrhythmias and their therapeutic management.

VIN Formulary for Exotic Animals

Thanks to Ned Gentz, MS, DVM, DACZM, zoo/wildlife veterinarian and VIN consultant, Sharon Gwaltney-Brant, DVM, PhD, DABT, DABVT, veterinary toxicologist and VIN consultant, and the VIN exotic animal species consultants and editors for working so hard to bring this resource to the VIN community!

Find it in the Books and Drug Resources sections of the VIN Library and in the Small Mammals, Avian, and Clinical Pharmacology Specialty Centers.

Ask the VIN Membership Services Team
Having trouble logging in? Need to change the billing for your membership? The VIN Membership Services staff is here to help you find answers to all of your membership questions. Contact them Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m Pacific time at 1-800-700-4636 or 01452226154 (from the UK) or email your question any time, night or day, to VINgram@vin.com.
----------------------------------------
Question: My associate is out of the office today and I need to access our VIN account. How can I find the username/password?

Answer: There is no such thing as a VIN 'Hospital' membership where all colleagues use the same login. Each associate accessing VIN should always do so with his/her own personal log in details.

VIN security exists to maintain a secure network and protect the integrity of VIN as a community for Veterinarians only.

VIN access accounts are licensed to individual veterinarians, not to computers, hospitals, email addresses or other locations. Besides the impact on the integrity of the VIN community, sharing your access allows others to view and change your personal and private information.

VIN offers group memberships at significantly reduced rates to colleagues working in the same practice or practices with at least one owner in common.

Remember, every colleague at every hospital must have their own account/login, even if the billing is handled as a group membership within their hospital. (Check out this discussion on the VIN message boards about sharing login details.)

Tips On Using Checklists In Clinic
Each of my checklists is typed up on a piece of paper which I laminated, then stuck on the wall with a dry erase marker nearby. The technicians can mark off tasks as they do them, everyone can see what was done and by whom, and then the list gets wiped off and used again.

Glass Hearts: Beautiful Art Meets Modern Science

Each one is made by hand (and mouth) at this family-run company, where the age-old art of glassblowing meets the rigorous requirements of modern medical science.
