A Tribute to the Women Who Shaped VIN
Bringing together colleagues to share information and experiences is the primary reason VIN exists. Read Paul's year-end letter to learn about three of the amazing women who've helped make VIN what it is today.

As the 25th year of the VIN community is winding down, your colleagues THANK YOU for doing your part to ensure that VIN is and always remains YOUR community -- For Veterinarians, By Veterinarians.

Thank YOU for being a part of the VIN community.

All the best for 2017!

Cutaneous Lymphoma at Injection Sites: Pathological, Immunophenotypical, and Molecular Characterization in 17 Cats
Cutaneous lymphomas at injection sites (CLIS) shared some clinical and pathological features with feline injection site sarcomas and with lymphomas developing in the setting of subacute to chronic inflammation reported in human beings. Persistent inflammation induced by the injection and by reactivation of FeLV expression may have contributed to emergence of CLIS.

Sudden acquired retinal degeneration syndrome (SARDS) - a review and proposed strategies toward a better understanding of pathogenesis, early diagnosis, and therapy
The disease is characterized by acute onset of blindness due to loss of photoreceptor function, extinguished electroretinogram with an initially normal appearing ocular fundus, and mydriatic pupils which are slowly responsive to bright white light, unresponsive to red, but responsive to blue light stimulation. In addition to blindness, the majority of affected dogs also show systemic abnormalities suggestive of hyperadrenocorticism, such as polyphagia with resulting obesity, polyuria, polydipsia, and a subclinical hepatopathy.
