Technical innovation changes standard radiographic protocols in veterinary medicine: is it necessary to obtain two dorsoproximal-palmarodistal oblique views of the equine foot when using computerised radiography systems?
Thirty images were presented to four clinicians for quality assessment and graded using a 1-3 scale (1=textbook quality, 2=diagnostic quality, 3=non-diagnostic image). No significant difference in diagnostic quality was found between the original navicular bone images and the manipulated distal phalanx images. This finding suggests that a single DPr-PaDiO image of the distal phalanx is sufficient for an equine foot radiographic series, with appropriate post-processing and manipulation.

Vitamin D-Dependent Rickets Type 2 In Littermate Kittens: Diagnostics And Treatment
The case is very similar to a vitamin D-dependent rickets type 2 case we had a couple of years ago. Early diagnosis and treatment is essential to trying to achieve a livable outcome for these kittens.

Does Lower Dietary Protein Increase Longevity In Rats?
I've seen some calorie-restricted rats that appear much younger than their actual age. However, although they are healthier, these rats are very cranky! They are always hungry, and I don't imagine they would be especially good pets.

What Tests Should Be Done As Part Of The Annual Wellness Examination For Reptiles?
I'd say annual check along with a good husbandry review, a weight, fecal direct/float, blood (if reptile big enough), and radiographs would give you a pretty good idea of a pet reptile's health.

Suggestions For Setting Fee Structures For A Veterinary House Call Practice
Just ten minutes and I get all kinds of great information about how other house callers are doing with their practice and managing things. It sounds like many of us are in the same boat as far as trying to set fees. I also find it hard to set prices that feel realistic and fair.
