Double Rounds this Sunday Night: Ultrasound Training and Winterizing Horses
Invite your staff to join you (via VSPN.org) and Chris Upchurch, AS, for Winterizing your Clients' Horses at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Don't wander off, because after that you won't want to miss Ultrasound Education and Training: How to Shorten the Learning Curve with Paul Brazzell, DVM at 10 p.m. ET. This session is part two of a three-part series. You may want to read or listen to the transcript of part one, Ultrasound Machine Purchase: What to Consider when Buying an Ultrasound Machine for your Hospital before attending.

This session will feature audio, so please perform the readiness test prior to the session also.

If you can't attend, check the Rounds or Front Page of VIN, or next Tuesday's VIN This Week, for links to the transcript of the discussion.

My Message Board Post Disappeared!
If you've ever posted a case and eagerly anticipated the feedback you'll get from the VIN community only to have the entire post seem to disappear into thin air, you'll appreciate MyActivities.

You can easily track and manage all of your message board and search activities in one place by pressing Ctrl + M on your keyboard or clicking the link in the footer of most VIN pages. (make sure your browser is set to allow pop ups from VIN. Learn how.)

Each tab contains details on your searches and message board participation, limited to the time frame you choose.

Clicking on the column headers under each tab sorts that column.

Forgot to save your search results to MyStuff? Use the 'My Search History' tab to revive your search result -- and get a second chance to add it to MyStuff.

If your MySubscriptions or MyDiscussions lists are getting a little cluttered, remove the ones you no longer want with a couple of clicks!

Let us know what you think!

VIN Basic Training
If you're having trouble finding your way around VIN, taking the How -To course can help you start getting the most from your membership! The live three-part "How To Use VIN" course is in session on the first three Wednesday nights of each month, or if you prefer to learn at your own pace, you can do it as self study.

If you'd like to take the live sessions, e-mail HowTo@VIN.com to sign up for the course.

Have you Tried Search 3 Yet?
VINners spoke, and the VIN geeks and database team listened! After reviewing member feedback, the VIN Wizards have updated Search3, keeping the same great functionality and speed, but with a more familiar feel.

Search 3.1 has a new and improved user interface, providing:

  • A cleaner Search page where all of your choices for customizing your search are in one streamlined bar.
  • Font and indentation changes in the Results page make your Results more readable.
  • And many more Search Preference Options...

Remember: Click 'Update' whenever you make a change to your search preferences!

Want to see how your results compare to Search 2.0? Click on the yellow box that says "Old Search 2.0", re-enter your search terms, and compare your results.

Not ready for a change? Want to customize your options? Click "Change my Search Preferences" to turn 'Snippets' on or off or reset your default Search to 2.0.

Visual learner? Explore this video tutorial.

If you do switch back to using OLD Search on Beta, please let us know why. Your feedback is needed and always appreciated! Send feedback to Feedback@vin.com. Better yet, share your feedback, suggestions, critiques with all VINners by posting on the message boards.
