Stayin' Alive: RECOVER What's New In CPR
The Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) initiative completed a literature review and worked with the veterinary community to develop a set of consensus CPR guidelines. Join Daniel J. Fletcher, PhD, DVM, DACVECC, this Sunday night at 8 p.m. ET to find out the results and see if you need to update your practice.

*This session is all text, no audio.

If you can't attend, check the Rounds or Front Page of VIN, or next Tuesday's VIN This Week, for links to the transcript of the discussion.

Sharing VIN Information... Do's and Don'ts
Yes, your mother told you to share, but as the Internet has taught us, there is such a thing as over-sharing. Sharing the last cookie – good. Sharing pictures from that college party – not so good.

In one sense, VIN is all about sharing. VINners share Community information on the Message boards, in Rounds, CE classes, and more. VIN also hosts information such as conference proceedings and articles.

However, VIN will NEVER share your information with anyone without your permission. And since mutual consideration is part of community life, some restrictions exist on sharing VIN information with non-VINners. Above all, significant restrictions exist regarding sharing VIN information with non-veterinarinians. These conditions help protect all VINners and the integrity of the VIN Community.

Need specifics? A complete rundown of VIN Information and Privacy policies can be found through the VINDEX, but as a general rule, if you wish to share something you’ve found on VIN with a non-VIN audience, email or call membership services for permissions and instructions on referencing the information.

In the Mood for Some Learning this Fall?
Hit the trail and head to the 18th International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium (IVECCS '12) September 8-12, at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio, Texas.

This year's theme is "Laboratory Diagnosis (Diagnostics) in Emergency & Critical Care," which will emphasize the latest in clinical diagnostics, therapeutic interventions and applied bio-technology.

Check out the IVECCS 2011 proceedings in the VIN Library.

Search 3.0 Update...
VINners spoke, and VIN listened! After reviewing member feedback, the VIN Wizards have updated Search 3.0, keeping the same great functionality and speed, but with a more VINner-friendly feel.

Search 3.0.8 has a new and improved user interface, providing:

  • A cleaner Search page, with all of your choices for customizing your search in one streamlined bar.
  • Font and indentation changes in the Results page, to make your Results more readable.
  • And many more Search Preference Options...

Remember: Click 'Update' whenever you make a change to your search preferences!

Want to see how your results compare to Search 2.0? Click on the yellow box that says "Old Search 2.0" to compare your results.

Not ready for a change? Want to customize your options? Click "Change my Search Preferences" to turn 'Snippets' on or off or reset your default Search to 2.0.

Visual learner? Explore this video tutorial.

If you do switch back to using OLD Search on Beta, please let us know why. Your feedback is needed and always appreciated! Send feedback to Feedback@vin.com. Better yet, share your feedback, suggestions, critiques with all VINners by posting on the message boards.
