![]() ![]() ![]() Starting your own practice can be scary. VINner Christine Ortner has shared the diary of her startup and her business plan with the VIN community. If you're thinking about starting your own practice, or know someone who is, take advantage of this resource! We'd love to add what others have learned into a collection of Business Startup materials. If you'd like to contribute what you learned during your startup and life of your practice, email to Feedback@vin.com.
Think of your MyVIN as your own personal assistant for all things VIN. MyVIN also includes your Password Vault No more remembering your username and password for each site. Password Vault will store this information for many of your journal subscriptions and organization memberships once they are entered. If you have questions about your Password Vault or want to change any portion of your VIN log in details, contact the VIN membership team at 1-800-700-4636 or 1-530-756-4881 (outside North America), or email VINGRAM@vin.com.
Add links to your MyStuff with your mobile device also. The Add to MyStuff for Mobile makes it easy to save quick links to your favorite VIN documents and features while you're on the go. Click on the red heart on the page you want to save, give your link a new title, or keep the one that pops up, and then click the Save button. Your link will be automatically added to your Main MyStuff folder, but you can move it to any folder you choose the next time you log in to VIN with your desktop or laptop. Note: Make sure that pop ups are NOT blocked on your non flash mobile device. To turn off pop up blocking on your iPad:

Download VINCasts If you've reserved time for some quiet reading, click the Rounds button on the VIN Main Navigation bar and read the transcripts of the last few Rounds. You can also browse the complete list of the last 300 Rounds transcripts or you can click on Rounds and Discussions in the VIN Library. Rounds are also searchable via the search button. Just remember to choose Rounds (under the Clinical Resources tab) as the "Source" in your search parameters.
The VINDEX is located on the upper right side of the Front Page, just below the navigation bar and is a handy tool to help you find many of the most popular VIN features. But if you really want to see the magic, from any page on VIN hold down your Ctrl button and push the “E” on your keyboard (Ctrl+E). So the next time you are looking for the VIN Bookstore or the calculator you used a few weeks ago, use the VINDEX. Need Help? Click Help on the VIN Main Navigation bar on almost every page to begin exploring the new and improved VIN Help Center. Meet the membership services team, find links to How-to videos, learn about Top Issues and Solutions, see What’s New on VIN and much more.
You never need to feel lost or alone. Your buddy can help you navigate VIN like a pro, find the information you're looking for and personlize your VIN experience to fit your needs.
