A polyorchid dog
The case of a polyorchid Irish Setter is presented here. Castration and intra-abdominal testis removal were performed one year of age when one scrotal and one cryptorchid testis near the right inguinal canal were removed. Later it became apparent that there was still testosterone production. A third testis, abdominal cryptorchid, was found on the right side cranially and right to the bladder.

A case of Borrelia-associated cutaneous pseudolymphoma in a horse
This case report describes a 10-year-old horse that developed multiple dermal papules over the right masseter area following removal of a tick from the same site 3 months earlier. Histological examination of a biopsy from a papule was suggestive of either a T-cell-rich B-cell lymphoma or cutaneous lymphoid hyperplasia, a form of pseudolymphoma sometimes associated with a tick bite.

Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) licenses and controlled drug transportation for ambulatory practices
Yesterday I received an e-mail from the Sacramento office of the DEA. The demands may have some destructive implications for large animal practice as it's done in this country. Has anyone else received anything similar?

Advantages and disadvantages of adding indirect (CR) and direct (DR) digital radiography to practice
WOW! That was an awesome insight into the pros and cons of CR and DR.

Sedative options for at home euthanasia of a large dog; sedative combinations for dogs and cats

Why did you come in today?
I walk up front to put a chart on the receptionist's desk. There's a super cute Golden puppy and owner in the lobby. I squeal over the puppy and give him belly rubs and get a kiss. I stand back up and begin to walk back to the treatment room. The receptionist is coming out of the treatment room and says to the puppy's owner, "I've got your medications right here, metronidazole and Panacur." As Homer Simpson would say, "D'oh!" Was I just kissing Giardia or Toxocara or both?
