We had a similar case here in southern California. Client brought in a sick cat. Was very distraught. Vet convinced owner that euthanasia was needed. Owner eventually consented, after quite a bit of resistance.

Aggravating Website
For fun I put in a gastrotomy/foreign body surgery for a 26-50 pound dog and said I paid $500. [The website said] I was ripped off!! Gee, the actual cost is closer to $2500+. Where are people in Connecticut getting gastrotomies done for less than $500?! Or are they comparing nationwide costs?

Client Records Euthanasia on Cell Phone
"I think this video has a chance of appearing someday on the Internet. On a side note, I am currently in the process with a partner of starting our own veterinary clinic in the near future. We want this clinic to be very "technology forward" and to encourage client interaction with the diagnostic/treatment process as much as possible. But, this experience has me feeling a little nervous."
