ANIMALicious: A New Client Education Resource
ANIMALicious, the VIN Community's newest client education effort, facilitates the notion that communication between veterinarians and clients is not only okay, it is essential.

ANIMALicious' mission is to support you and all colleagues by helping clients understand behind-the-exam room issues. Written by magical leprechauns (also known as VIN Community veterinarians and staff), ANIMALicious encourages and accepts moderated comments from veterinarians and pet owners alike.

ANIMALicious takes Veterinary Partner one step further by tackling broader issues in a humorous but sometimes poignant manner.

The site has opened with just a few articles, but one or two will be added weekly. The first articles were:

Let us know what you think, suggest topics or submit an article for consideration by posting a comment on the site or emailing ANIMALicious@vin.com.

Take advantage of resources like:

Thanks to the continuous efforts of the VIN community, the Student Center has grown into a resource to serve all VINners.

E-mail to Feedback@vin.com if you'd like to contribute to the Student Center or just share your thoughts about the new features.

MyActivities - Formerly Known as Ctrl+M
Track and manage all of your message board and search activities in one place with the new and improved MyActivities feature on Beta.vin.com.

(You'll want to make sure your browser is set to allow pop ups from VIN. Learn how.)

Each tab contains details on your searches and message board participation, limited to the time frame you choose.

Clicking on the column headers under each tab sorts that column.

Forgot to save your search results to your MyStuff? Use the 'My Search History' tab to revive your search result -- and get a second chance to add it to your MyStuff.

If your MySubscriptions or MyDiscussions lists are getting a little cluttered, remove the ones you no longer want quickly and easily in a couple of clicks!

Let us know what you think!

Keep an eye on this section of VIN This Week to learn about the latest toys at Beta.vin.com.

We are not able to provide a true quarantine in this building and staff delayed telling me about the skin lesions for a few days before I found them on my own (despite lectures and standard operating procedures). So lord knows it is likely everywhere.

Plan to hire a new grad!
Many of the best graduating seniors are regular VIN users. Post your position in Vetquest Classifieds. Colleagues working in the same practice qualify for group membership rates! Each practitioner enjoys the benefit of an individual account and personal login - maintaining preferences and professionalism - with the added convenience and savings of Group Membership billing.

Remember, there is no such thing as a VIN 'Hospital' membership where all colleagues use the same login. Every colleague at every hospital must have their own account/login, even if the billing is handled as a group membership within their hospital. (Check out this discussion on the VIN message boards about sharing login details.)

This FAQ will explain how group memberships work. If you still have questions contact membership services at vingram@vin.com, or call membership services at 1-800-700-4636 (toll free) or 1-530-756-4881 (locally) or 01 45 222 6154 in the UK.

Need Help?
Have questions about your membership? Can't find that reference you need for a tough case? Help is a click, email or phone call away! (Hint: you can find this page anytime by clicking HELP on the main VIN Navigation Bar.)

You figure it out, honey
Opened the door to the laundry room area. Discovered that the rottie had finally killed the bunny living under the shed. And then eaten it. And then vomited part of it up. Made my way back to bed. Comment to my husband as I fell asleep, "Thanks for the heads up that there was a pile of rabbit parts in the back room!" His response? "Oh, that's what it is?! I left it there for you to identify because I couldn't figure out what she had eaten!"
