Excessive Dander On Cat's Head: Differentials, And Skin Biopsy Tips
That is a good question! I recommend no prep at all. Just gently trim overlying fur with blunt scissors and obtain a 6 millimeter punch. Be sure to preserve any overlying crusts/scales with the skin, take at least 2-3 samples, and send to a dermatopathologist with the full history and pictures to get the best interpretation.

OSHA & Practice Safety 2017
April 10 - July 6, 2017
Presenter(s): Phil Seibert, CVT

This course is designed for the practice owner, manager, or administrator who desires to understand OSHA's Standards as well as practical ways to implement them in a veterinary practice. We attempt to avoid debating the merits of any particular requirement and focus on how to achieve compliance! This course will cover ALL aspects of a hospital safety program, not just the Hazard Communication Standard. The participants will be provided with many downloadable resources, including the actual text versions of applicable standards.

Euthanasia Protocols for Companion Animals
April 25 - May 12, 2017
Presenter(s): Kathleen Cooney, DVM, MS

With euthanasia being one of the few procedures we do weighted in heavy emotion and the pressure to get it right, we should have more training in it. Truth is we don’t get much in school and even after practicing for years, we could still use techniques to make things better. Let’s get beyond those stressful situations and learn ways to help even the most challenging patients. This 2-hour session will review the most current techniques offered in companion animal medicine, examine some challenging cases, discuss important key phrases and communication strategies, and set some basic fundamentals that everyone can successfully offer and perform.

Visit the CE Participant Resource Center to learn the basics of online CE, how to find your course area, CE participation requirements, and much more!
