Megaesophagus Information Center
The Megaesophagus Project unites much of the VIN content about this condition in one handy place.

Kathy Morris-Stilwell, DVM, and other VINners donated videos and information and provided great examples from message board discussions.

The Feeding Tips section includes video, text, and photos of "Bailey Chair" construction, a case history of the patient for whom the chair was named, and fluid administration suggestions.

The Image Collection has megaesophagus radiographs, contrast studies, and movies provided by Bill Blevins, DVM, MS, DACVR, and other VINners.

You'll also find additional reading including Associate articles, client information handouts, contrast study guidelines from the 2011 ABVP Conference, and nebulizer use, as well as links to megaesophagus research studies.

Hormones Running Amok?
Do you have a diabetic patient that's difficult to regulate? Are you frustrated with trying to interpret adrenal function tests? The Endocrinology Specialty Center has great tools for managing your endocrine cases:

  • Glucose Curve Calculator
  • Trilostane Dosing Tool
  • Sections on adrenal, thyroid, pituitary and parathyroid diseases
  • Numerous client handouts
  • Links to related journals, proceedings, websites and rounds

Reach the Endocrinology Specialty Center through the About Page for the Endocrinology and Reproduction message folders and the Specialty Centers section of the VIN Library.

"Wow, and I thought I was the only one who had issues like this! I was making a water dispenser for my chickens, and saw that there was a special type of end (nipple) which was advised.

Do NOT google 'chicken nipple.' Trust me."
