Feline sarcoptic mange in Taiwan: a case series of five cats
A spot-on preparation of moxidectin and imidacloprid was used successfully to treat cats with S. scabiei infestation.

Placement of bone screws in a standing horse for treatment of a fracture of the greater tubercle of the humerus
Open reduction with internal fixation was chosen over stall rest in an attempt to more rapidly return the weightbearing function to the limb. The procedure was performed standing and 3 bone screws were placed standing in an attempt to avoid implant or catastrophic bone failure that can accompany recovery from general anaesthesia.

Subepiglottic cysts in 15 horses
Eight of the 11 (73%) Thoroughbred horses in this study raced following subepiglottic cyst (SEC) removal. The majority of SECs are identified during routine endoscopic examinations and are not associated with clinical signs.

Multimodal Treatment Recommendations For Dogs With Collapsing Trachea: Are Maropitant Or Tracheal Collapse Elixirs Effective In Dogs?
This is the same proven mechanism by which maropitant reduces vomiting by blocking neurokinin-1 receptors and inhibiting release of substance P. It is not a far stretch to imagine this expanding from anti-vomiting to anti-tussive activity.

Can Baseline Cortisol Levels Be Used To Monitor Cushingoid Dogs Receiving Trilostane Therapy?

Orthogonal Radiographic Views Are Important: Benefits Outweigh Potential Costs And Additional Radiation Exposure
It looks like you have a digital radiography system, so the principal expense is actually getting things set up and getting the animal into the clinic. After that, the marginal expense of additional views is pretty darned close to zero.

My Little Town
In the spirit of "The Best Thing to Happen Today" thread, I want to share my little town, Powell River, BC.

No matter how raw and ugly the rest of my life may become, the beauty of this little village on the edge of the Pacific Ocean always reminds me that the world remains a beautiful place. I wish I could catch some photos of the distant Island mountain chain with the Comox Glacier glistening white in the distance, but I have taken a hundred images of the breathtaking view and not one of them even comes close to the catching the true, overwhelming beauty of the view.

I challenge others to share that one place on earth closer to our heart than all else. Home.
