Risk-based cost modelling of oral rabies vaccine interventions for raccoon rabies
Distribution of oral rabies vaccine (ORV) is an effective but costly strategy to control raccoon rabies. Because of high costs, ORV for raccoon rabies in the U.S. has been limited primarily to epizootic areas, leaving extensive raccoon rabies regions without any ORV intervention.

Microbiological and histopathological features of canine acral lick dermatitis
It was hypothesized that cultures obtained from deep tissue would yield different results than predicted by surface culture and cytology, and that isolates from ALD have unpredictable susceptibility patterns showing resistance to antibiotics routinely administered for canine pyoderma.

Prevention of shedding and re-shedding of toxoplasma gondii oocysts in experimentally infected cats treated with oral clindamycin: a preliminary study
Clindamycin had a complete inhibitory effect on shedding of oocysts by cats, even under severe immunosuppression, which is a new finding not reported elsewhere.

Modifying office hours during a slow economy
Last year I said we would "never" close on Saturdays. Guess what - we are closed now every other Saturday. We still get all the people who need a Saturday for their schedule, Fridays and Mondays have become busier as well as Tuesday and Thursday evenings. So far very few client complaints.

Weird abdominal mineralization
Then I took the x-rays.....what the heck??!! It looks like she swallowed a bunch of gravel but the mineralization doesn't appear to be in her GI tract. Could this be dystrophic mineralization of a uterine or ovarian mass? Or mineralization secondary to a chronic pyometra?

Deconstructing the dominance theory as it relates to trianing dogs
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior has a series of position statements available on its website ...

Dietary management for cat with alkaline urine and struvite crystalluria: what is the ideal formulation to feed a cat?
I don't think it's the issue of natural cat foods and crystalluria. Rather, it's the fact that any dry food fed as the primary or exclusive diet does not provide the moisture that cats need to "naturally" avoid crystalluria.

Search Tip:
Increase the likelihood of your search returning the results you want by using PHRASES rather than SINGLE WORDS when you search:
- Enter HEARTWORM ANTIGEN TESTS, not just HEARTWORM, if that's what you really want to search.
- General terms like KIDNEY can sometimes be useful, but a more specific descriptor such as RENAL FAILURE or KIDNEY FAILURE is often more helpful.
For more help and tips on searching, see Steps To A More Effective Search.
