Funny things clients say

I spayed an in-heat cat today. When the owner came to pick up the cat, I happened to be up front. She thanked me, and said she would be relieved to see the cat go out of heat. She said "I've never seen a cat in heat before. She's been twerking all over the place. Miley Cyrus has nothing on her!"

Salmonella awareness and related management practices in U.S. urban backyard chicken flocks
At the time of data collection in 2010, less than 50% of respondents in Miami and Los Angeles (40.0 and 30.2%, respectively) were aware of a connection between poultry contact, such as contact with chicks or ducks, and Salmonella infection in people, compared to 63.5% of respondents in Denver. Urban chicken flock owners who completed the questionnaire in English were more likely to be aware of the connection between poultry contact and Salmonella, compared with respondents who completed the questionnaire in Spanish.

The use of implants containing GnRH analogues, even in asymptomatic subjects, is effective for the control of BPH and the application of Doppler exam of prostatic blood flow represent a non-invasive tool for monitoring the response of medical treatment.

Iodine concentration in commercial cat foods from three regions of the USA, 2008-2009
Dramatic variation among canned foods (resulting in ingestion of approximately 49-9639 µg iodine/day) suggests that the disparity in iodine concentrations may lead to development of nodular hyperplasia and, later, clinical hyperthyroidism, if cats consume diets that are at first iodine-deficient and later contain excessive iodine.

Cavitation At The Origin Sites Of The Cranial Cruciate Ligaments And Gastrocnemius Muscles On Stifle Radiographs Of A Dog With Acute Hindlimb Lameness
I thought you might like to see this image. It is a computed tomography (CT) scan of a dog that has cruciate ligament disease. It shows the cavitation at the origin of the cranial cruciate ligament (CCL). I'm sure we would see the same thing in your case, if we were to do a CT study.
