Funny And Depressingly Bad Resumes

This wasn't a resume, but a job interview. I was looking for a part time afternoon kennel person and asked the high school if they had a work program. They sent me this nice young man for an interview. I asked him if he had an animal handling experience. He answered, "I ride my pig."

Septic flexor tendonitis and suspensory desmitis in an alpaca
Treatment of septic flexor tendonitis and suspensory desmitis with antimicrobial intraosseous regional limb perfusion in combination with systemic treatment with antimicrobials and orthopedic support resulted in an excellent outcome in this alpaca. Antimicrobial intraosseous regional limb perfusion is simple to perform and has the potential to be beneficial in the treatment of infections in the distal portion of a limb in camelids.

Investigation of the pathophysiological mechanism for altered calcium homeostasis in hyperthyroid cats
Hypocalcaemia in hyperthyroid cats is not associated with the presence of concurrent or masked chronic kidney disease or reduced plasma calcitriol concentrations. Increased thyroid hormone concentrations might influence ionized calcium concentrations through a mechanism, yet to be determined, that is independent of control by parathyroid hormone and calcitriol.

Owner Diagnosed With Dermatophyte Infection: Does Asymptomatic Cat Need Testing Or Treatment?
If the owner has a confirmed infection with a zoophilic dermatophyte, I'd treat the animals, because they were either the source or could have been exposed from the owner. Either way, it's worth getting it out of the household.

      How far is your commute?
"I've been driving 30 to 45 minutes each way and 15 minutes to an hour finding parking. Yes, it is crazy counting lost hours sitting in a metal box. Wonder if most owner vets live within 15 minutes of driving distance from practice?
