- Nick is in junior high and undecided on a future career other than not veterinary medicine. He enjoys downhill skiing, playing computer games, and annoying his younger sister.
- Anne is in 6th grade and while she loves animals, she is considering a future career at NASA, or maybe something else. She enjoys cross-country and downhill skiing and annoying her older brother.

- A Lab mix named Luna(tic), a tortie cat named Penny, and 4 hens Cheesy Panther, Cujo, Tulip, and Peep.
