Course Information:
This course will provide updates in the diagnosis and treatment of immune mediated hemolytic anemia in companion animals. It will summarize the recently published guidelines from the ACVIM.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
- understand the appropriate testing needed to diagnose IMHA.
- understand the treatment options and how to approach therapy in a typical IMHA patient.
Level and Prerequisites: This basic VIN CE course is open for enrollment to veterinarians interested in immune-mediated hemolytic anemia.
Credit Approval: This course has been submitted (but not yet approved) for 2 hours of continuing education credit for veterinarians in jurisdictions that recognize RACE approval.
Course Agenda: Week 1 (Real Time Session December 5, 2023): IMHA Anemia Diagnosis and Treatment

After this session participates will be able to diagnosis and treat cases of immune mediated hemolytic anemia in companion animals.
Successful completion (scoring 80% or better) on the end-of-course test is required to earn a certificate of completion for the course. Course Materials: Course materials will be available in the course library prior to each Real Time Session.

- Only VIN and VSPN members can enroll in a VSPN CE course.
- Veterinarians will only receive credit for those VSPN CE courses that specify in the Accreditation statement that the course is accredited for veterinarians.
