Although hepatic lipidosis is one of the most common causes of
liver disease in cats, many other diseases that cause icterus
are encountered in practice. Cholangiohepatitis, lymphoma,
pancreatitis, and liver flukes are also causes of icterus in cats.
The treatment of each of these diseases is different, so obtaining
a definitive diagnosis is important in saving these cats.

- list the common differentials for icterus in cats
- interpret lab data, imaging, and cytology/histopathology to help determine the cause of icterus
- formulate a treatment plan based on the cause of icterus

About the Presenter:
is a board certified internist.
He owns a mobile internal medicine practice in Orlando, FL and has been
a VIN consultant since 2008. His special interests include ultrasound,
cytology, endoscopy, gastroenterology, cardiology, and immune mediated disease.
