About the Presenters:
Kate Hepworth-Warren was born in the UK but grew up in Indiana. She rode horses and competed in 4H while growing up which fostered her passion for horses, and ultimately veterinary medicine. She received her bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from Purdue University in 2005, and then her DVM from Purdue in 2010. Following graduation, Dr. Hepworth-Warren completed an internship at AVS Equine Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida and then a residency in equine internal medicine at Iowa State University. She became board certified in large animal internal medicine in 2014 and stayed on as faculty at Iowa State for the next year. For the next 4 years, Dr. Hepworth-Warren and her husband, a small animal veterinarian, lived in New Jersey where she worked at a private practice. Dr. Hepworth-Warren recently relocated to North Carolina and is now a clinician on the equine internal medicine service at North Carolina State University. In her free time, Dr. Hepworth-Warren enjoys spending time with her husband and animals (2 dogs, a cat and a horse), cooking, running, and travelling.

Victoria Bentley is a graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Following her graduation from Cornell, she did an equine internship at Mississippi State University and a Large Animal Surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is Board Certified in Large Animal Surgery (DACVS-LA stands for Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Large Animal). The Doctor is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association and on the Board of Directors for the New York State Veterinary Medical Society.
Lameness and performance horse medicine are among Dr. Bentley's special interests. She also plans to attend an Ontario-based 220+ hour training program at the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Center in 2019. She enjoys horseback riding, hiking, camping, reading, and cross stitch. She loves her dog (a Chihuahua mix who was once a stray) and her quarter horse who she fondly says, "thinks he is a Labrador".
