A comprehensive description of the eye of Callorhinus ursinus was the object of this investigation. The eyes of fifteen male animals were studied. Histology was accomplished by light and scanning electron microscopy. Measurements of the eye were taken with standard instruments to include keratometry of the cornea addressing the question of astigmatic aerial/ aquatic accommodation. Blood supply to and of the eye was delineated by vinyl or silicone casting and dissection. Normal parameters of the eye are thus presented supplying information pertinent to vision in this species while laying the groundwork for further studies of abnormal or pathological ocular conditions.
