Professor Peep Talving is a trauma surgeon, Professor of Surgery at the University of Tartu, and Director of Acute Care Surgery Division of the North Estonia Medical Center in Tallinn, Estonia. He was previously an Assistant Professor of Surgery and Emergency Medicine at the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine and an Attending Surgeon at the Los Angeles County General Hospital. He defended his PhD thesis at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. Dr. Talving is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST). He is the National Chair and Course Director of ATLS in Estonia.
