The Heart is an Endocrine Organ
2002 SAVMA Symposium
Stephen Ettinger, DVM, Diplo AVCIM
California Animal Hospital

We think of heart failure in terms of pathophysiologic consequences and pressure changes. How are these brought about and why? Because the heart and the rest of the body is busy making a multitude of hormonal substances- some good, other not. This may be the near term future of therapy for heart failure.

The talk will put together your knowledge of heart failure into a clinically relevant state.
