Allowing the Client to Say “Yes”!
2002 SAVMA Symposium

Oftentimes, if the client does not “know” (understand what one is trying to communicate), she'll say “no” (to recommendations). This, unfortunately, does not benefit you or your practice, and more importantly, the pets and people you serve.

Realizing what communication actually is, and its critical importance in allowing one to practice veterinary medicine to the fullest, will be the focus of this interactive discussion. We'll look at how clients 'interpret' a practice, and how they make decisions whether to come back and readily refer others, or seek veterinary care elsewhere and dissuade others from 'experiencing' such a practice. Sure to be very enlightening and relevant to your future!
