Reiki and Healing Touch are forms of energy work. Like acupuncture, they manipulate flow of energy in the body but use the practitioner’s hands as the tools to do it. They work on all four levels of the body—physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. People choose to receive energy work for medical problems as well as stress relief. The same benefits can be achieved in animals. Anyone can be trained how to do either therapy. This lecture will cover the origins of each modality, how one gets trained in them, research done on the subjects and some personal cases.
