Blood collection, hematology and blood chemistry studies were undertaken on 41 feral sea otters (Enhydra lutris) in order to determine normal hemogram and blood chemistry values in the species. The laboratory results are presented and compared to corresponding values for other mustelids and diving marine mammals. In general, sea otter blood values are more closely allied to those of unrelated marine mammals than to those of other members of the family Mustelidae.
