Serum agglutinating antibody titers of porpoises (Tursiops truncatus) were monitored following administration of several commercially available vaccines for Erysipelothrix insidiosa. Comparison of serum antibody response to killed versus live-avirulent products demonstrated a greater quantity as well as more persistent antibodies resulting from the latter. The method of antibody analysis and a vaccination program for obtaining high antibody titers are presented.
