AAFP Rounds: Busting the Myths about Feline Hyperthyroidism
Since Peterson and Holzworth first reported the existence of FHT in 1979-80, we have learned much about the disease but early myths persist. If we continue to perpetuate these myths, we will compromise the care, quality of life and even longevity of cats that develop the disease. Join Hazel Carney DVM, MS, DABVP (Canine & Feline), Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET to discuss information from the 2016 AAFP Guidelines for the Management of FHT.

*This session will feature audio. Take the readiness test before attending.

What's your craziest incidental finding?
Not quite incidental but I had a Golden retriever with a pyometria a few months ago which 'oh by the way' vomited up a corn cob that morning - emergency pyo & gastrotomy. (A month later I took out more corn cobs plus 16 inches of intestine - the owner has discussed with the dog there will not be a third time).
