Protozoal nodular dermatitis and panniculitis in a Rottweiler puppy caused by Caryospora bigenetica
Although remission of clinical signs can be achieved with combination therapy of clindamycin and TMS, long-term management is challenging and relapses should be anticipated.

Sebaceous adenitis and mural folliculitis in a cat responsive to topical fatty acid supplementation
Treatment with a spot-on product containing essential oils, smoothing agents, and vitamin E as the sole therapy was associated with a good - but incomplete - clinical response over a 6 month period, with hair regrowth and a marked decrease in seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Manipulation of Host Diet To Reduce Gastrointestinal Colonization by the Opportunistic Pathogen Candida albicans
Colonization was lower in mice fed a coconut oil-rich diet than in mice fed diets rich in beef tallow or soybean oil. Switching beef tallow-fed mice to a coconut oil diet reduced preexisting colonization. Coconut oil reduced colonization even when the diet also contained beef tallow.

Treating Adderall Toxicity In Dogs
Once the amphetamine wears off, he's likely to be profoundly sedate/tired -- both from residual acepromazine and from not sleeping for so long.

Advice For Planning The Delivery Of A Litter Of Puppies Whose Dam Has Pericardial Effusion Suspected To Be Due To Atrial Hemangiosarcoma
Needless to say, anesthesia, surgery, and recovery are all a huge risk for this dog, but I tend to agree that whelping may be as risky (or greater) depending on duration and ease.

Could This Cat's Gastrointestinal Signs Be The Result Of Visceral Epilepsy? Phenobarbital As Treatment For Chronic Vomiting
We certainly see GI signs from autonomic seizures, but diagnosis is usually based on ruling out other much-more-common causes and on response to anti seizures medication.

Are Calla Lilies Toxic To Iguanas?
In mammals, the only deaths associated with this type of plant tend to occur if the pharyngeal area swells sufficiently to asphyxiate the animal (which is an extremely rare occurrence in veterinary patients).

Associate Exam Room Etiquette
I'm pretty blown away by the number of people here that do not see the importance of introducing yourself. It takes about two seconds. That two seconds welcomes the client and invites them to trust you. The handshake confirms it. It is a step for the client to accept there is some teamwork to get the best for their pet.
