Ask VIN Membership Services:
QUESTION: My associate is out of the office today and I need to access our VIN account. How can I find the username/password?

Answer: VIN memberships are licensed to individual veterinarians - not to computers, hospitals, email addresses or other locations. Each veterinarian accessing VIN should always do so with his/her own personal log in details.

Sharing your access allows others to view and change your personal and private information and impacts the integrity of the VIN community

VIN offers group memberships at reduced rates to colleagues working in the same practice. As with regular VIN memberships, each member of the group will have an individual VIN account with their own secure information to access VIN from anywhere they choose.

For more detailed help with this issue see the FAQ about login issues. If all else fails, please don't hesitate to contact technical support.

The VIN Membership Services team is here to help you. Email vingram@vin.com any time or call Monday - Friday, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. PT:

Anatomical variation of the spinous and transverse processes in the caudal cervical vertebrae and the first thoracic vertebra in horses
A large number of anatomical variants can be detected radiographically in the caudal cervical area; some of these have a higher frequency, depending on sex and breed. Knowledge of the different shapes is very important in avoiding misdiagnosis of periarticular new bone formation.

Work-related injuries to animal care workers, Washington 2007-2011
For workers engaged in animal care, workplace hazards are common and may outnumber those experienced by human healthcare workers.

Secukinumab, an Interleukin-17A Inhibitor, in Ankylosing Spondylitis
Secukinumab at a subcutaneous dose of 150 mg, with either subcutaneous or intravenous loading, provided significant reductions in the signs and symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis at week 16. Secukinumab at a subcutaneous dose of 75 mg resulted in significant improvement only with a higher intravenous loading dose.

Medical Management Of Insulinoma In Dogs
Our goal with medical management is *not* euglycemia. Rather, it is to maintain the blood glucose at a relatively stable value, even if that value is subnormal.

Are Several Short Seizures Every Month Harmful? Realistic Goals For Treatment Of Seizures
I think a more useful goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of seizures to a point that doesn't substantially compromise the patient's and family's quality of life, while avoiding significant medication side effects.

Next Step For A Dog With Cutaneous Lymphocytosis; Confirmed Epitheliotrophic Lymphoma
There is rampant follicular epithelial migration by atypical round cells. I am not sure why lymphocytosis was chosen as a diagnosis.

Inflammatory Mass With Bleeding Of Third Eyelid In A Cat Is Diagnosed As A Hibernoma
It turned out to be a very weird benign fatty tumor, a hibernoma! Apparently there is only one report in a dog and none in a cat.

After the thrill is gone
You always wonder if the day will come when you don't look forward to coming to work and nothing you do really excites you or gives you any personal satisfaction. Maybe it is compassion fatigue, that long list of things you still want to do but the career is in the way, or just simply burn out. For me I think I had an incident that happened that just made me want to walk away and I can't get away from it.

Understanding Hospice and Palliative Care
August 11 - September 4, 2016

This course is designed to help veterinarians and veterinary staff to better understand the hospice philosophy and gain tools to implement directly into their hospice services. Course attendees will learn about the initial hospice consultation, the stages of dying, comfort care protocols, and case examples. Until certification exists for animal hospice providers, presentations like this can help guide providers on hospice best practices.

Small Rodent Review 2016
June 22 - August 6, 2016

Small rodents are commonly seen in private practice, and many veterinarians have a limited working knowledge of this species. This course is intended to provide an in-depth overview of husbandry, medicine, and common disease presentations by species in order to allow veterinary staff to feel more comfortable with basic rodent diagnosis and treatment. Clinical symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, and current considerations for prevention will be covered.

Visit the CE Participant Resource Center to learn the basics of online CE, how to find your course area, CE participation requirements, and much more!

Check the World Clock Time Zone Converter to confirm session start times for your area.
