Who's Your VIN Buddy?
Every VINner in practice is assigned a buddy from the VIN Representative team! Your buddy wants to help you learn the tips and tricks to get the most from your VIN membership.

You never need to feel lost or alone. Your buddy can help you navigate VIN like a pro, find the information you're looking for, and personlize your VIN experience to fit your needs.

Don't remember who YOUR VIN buddy is?

To find out who your buddy is log in to VIN and click on MyVIN in the navigation bar at the top of the page. Under the COLLEAGUES menu, choose My Colleagues. Your buddy's name will show in the upper left corner of the window. Click on the name to view your buddy’s profile or click on the email icon to send your buddy an email.

If you don't have an assigned buddy yet, click on 'Request a Buddy' and the VIN membership services team will match you with a buddy and send you both an introductory email.

You can also email VINgram@vin.com and they'll be happy to remind you who your buddy is and let them know you want to get re-introduced.

Not in practice? Don't have a buddy and need help? Email Feedback@vin.com and help will soon be on the way.

VIN Community Quick Polls
The first of these new one-question polls (some serious, some not so serious) launched on Monday, April 21.

Voice your opinion! You'll find the weekly Quick Poll on the left side of the front page under the Daily Pearl. This week's question is (it'll change soon, so add your vote now) "Does your clinic employ or plan to employ new graduates (NGs)?"

Got an idea for a poll question? Put it in the VIN QuickPoll Suggestion Box!

Read the discussion to see how the idea came about and how you can contribute ideas for new polls.

Need to Change Your VIN Password?
Security experts suggest changing your passwords frequently to keep them secure. Changing your VIN password is quick and easy.

Log in to your account with your current password then click on MyVIN > Membership and choose Change your Password or Change Secondary Security.

You can also use MyVIN to update your contact information, update your credit card for all VIN services, renew your membership, and much more! Browse the MyVIN section of the VIN Help resources for details.

If you need more help, please contact membership services directly.

Getting Clients To Pick Animals Up On Time From Emergency Clinics That Are Closed During The Day
I worked with one doctor who would stack all the charts by the phone at 6am to call each owner with an "update". She was, in fact, waking everyone up to get to the clinic in time.

Should I Compensate Practice Owner If I Missed Relief Shift?
We are all human and will make mistakes. It is how you handle the mistakes that define you.

Should Rescues Be Re-Homing Aggressive Dogs?
The vast majority of adopters are looking for pets, not projects. They're not prepared for what's involved with a pet with serious problems. Many of my clients, who are really committed to their pets, say straight out that, knowing what they know, they wouldn't do it all over again.
