  • What: VIN Community breakfast -- free for all VINners -- and their guests!
  • When: Saturday, June 11 at 6:30 a.m. (yes, it's early, but worth it :))
  • Where: Hyatt Regency Convention Center in the Mineral Ballroom ABC. View the flyer and map here.

RSVP to let us know you can attend the breakfast -- feel free to bring a guest, just let us know so we know how many biscuits to make.

We look forward to seeing you!

The results suggest that hypocalcaemia is common in patients with pancreatitis and that [Ca(2+)i] may be used as a prognostic risk factor for predicting the clinical course of the disease, with values <1 mmol/l corresponding to a poor prognosis.

Dog Suffered A Dislocated Hip During Anesthesia-Free Dental Procedure
In summary, the Non-Anesthetic Dental (NAD) was promoted as a way to avoid the oh-so-dangerous anesthesia and now this dog will have a total of 3 anesthetic events. One to try to reduce the hip dislocation, one for the femoral head ostectomy, and a third to address the teeth.

Backyard Poultry Medicine
May 20 - June 22, 2016

In recent years, more people are starting to raise small flocks of poultry in backyard urban settings. When these birds become injured or ill, the owners are turning to their local family veterinarian for assistance, even though many small animal practitioners have very little to no experience with poultry or with how to treat animals that are being used in food production. This course is intended to help those veterinarians and their technicians become more familiar with diagnosing and treating conditions of poultry commonly encountered in the backyard setting.

Small Rodent Review 2016
June 22 – August 6, 2016

Small rodents are commonly seen in private practice, and many veterinarians have a limited working knowledge of this species. This course is intended to provide an in depth overview of husbandry, medicine, and common disease presentations by species in order to allow veterinary staff to feel more comfortable with basic rodent diagnosis and treatment. Clinical symptoms, diagnosis, treatment options, and current considerations for prevention will be covered.

Visit the CE Participant Resource Center to learn the basics of online CE, how to find your course area, CE participation requirements, and much more!
