Keeping Track of Your VIN Message Board Participation and VIN Searches Made Easy!
MyActivities (Ctrl-M) allows you to track and manage all of your message board and search activities in one place.

Forgot to save your search results to your MyStuff? Use the 'My Search History' tab to revive your search result and get a second chance to add it to your MyStuff.

If your MySubscriptions or MyDiscussions lists are getting a little cluttered, remove the ones you no longer want quickly and easily with a couple of clicks!

Access MyActivities through the link in the footer of most VIN pages or via the My Recent section on the main message board page -- or simply press CTRL-M (Control and M keys simultaneously) from anywhere on VIN.

Note: To use MyActivities you'll want to make sure your browser is set to allow pop ups from VIN. Learn how.

Comparison of propofol with ketofol, a propofol-ketamine admixture, for induction of anaesthesia in healthy dogs
Free Full Text

Induction of anaesthesia with ketofol resulted in higher pulse rate and mean arterial blood pressure, than when propofol was used, but lower respiratory rate. Quality of induction and Tracheal intubation were consistently good with ketofol, but more variable when using propofol.

A case of feline gastrointestinal eosinophilic sclerosing fibroplasia mimicking metastatic neoplasia
This is the first report of feline gastrointestinal eosinophilic sclerosing fibroplasia (FGESF) in a New Zealand cat and the first time lesions of FGESF have been observed in extra-abdominal tissues. Intestinal neoplasia can be clinically identical to FGESF and histopathology is required for differentiation.

Veterinarians' attitudes to chronic pain in dogs
Osteoarthritis, dental and aural disease, vertebral and spinal cord conditions, neoplasia, and skin conditions were considered important causes of chronic pain in dogs.

Second Degree Heart Block Seen On Electrocardiogram After Atropine Was Administered To A Dog
What you have here is very common when giving atropine intravenously. We believe it is due to a central vagal stimulation. It almost always goes away, as it did in your case, after 60 seconds.

Should Veterinarians Avoid Bravecto (Fluralaner) Due To Its Potential For Harmful Effects To Bees?
I searched to see if there's any concern with this class and honeybees and couldn't find any direct links to toxicity or hazard. Obviously there's no need to use any pesticide in proximity to bee populations, but the risk of the canine skin/haircoat or feces containing enough isoxazolines to harm populations is extremely low.

Does This Dog With A Stable Heart Murmur Need An Echocardiogram Prior To Getting Anesthesia For A Dental Procedure?
Since the murmur is still soft, it is unlikely the mitral regurgitation has progressed.

Bengal Kitten Littermates That Have Hindlimb Paresis And Decreased Proprioception May Have Polyneuropathy
This disease is chronic-relapsing. The improvement with steroids may have been coincidental.
