Neonatal Wildlife Medicine The primary purpose of this course is to provide a basic understanding of the principles of care for neonatal North American wildlife. The course will include details on the common syndromes and diseases with which orphaned or abducted wildlife patients present to a clinic, the approach to triage, emergency treatment and monitoring of the wildlife patient, the most notable infectious and non-infectious diseases of wildlife, and the public health and legal implications of treating wildlife.
