Share Your Thoughts on the VINner's Oath
You are probably familiar with the VIN Ten Commandments, VIN’s promise to VINners and to the veterinary profession. But, did you know that a set of promises from VINners to each other and the Community is under development?

You are invited and encouraged to help shape the culture of your VIN Community by contributing to the development of the VINners’ Oath! Share your thoughts in the message board discussions or by emailing Paul@vin.com.

Every few weeks, Paul will post a discussion in the message boards explaining in detail the reasoning behind each point. Catch up on the discussion of the first item and the second item.

Successful Practice Transition and Ownership Module 1
April 12 - 29, 2017
Presenter(s): Thom Haig, DVM; Edward J. Guiducci, JD; Michael Porrello, CPA, CVA

Each of the modules in the Successful Practice Transition and Ownership series will identify key issues, common opportunities, as well as specific risks in considering each one of these life changing decisions. With the exception of the opportunity to become a veterinarian, the decision to own a practice and the decision to sell is the biggest life changing choice a veterinarian makes. The detailed sessions in these four modules will provide the information you need to make a successful ownership decision. The first in a series of 4 courses, this course will provide an overview of the practice transition process.

When the Bite is Worse than the Bark - Canine Aggression Directed Toward Humans
July 31 - September 8, 2017
Presenter(s): Debbie Calnon, BSc BVMS MANZCVSc(Animal Behaviour) DVET-P CertIVTC DTAA; Kersti Seksel, BVSc (Hons), MRCVS, MA (Hons), FANCVS (Animal Behavior), DACVB, DECAWBM, FAVA

This course will provide an overview of canine aggression that is directed toward people. A good understanding of learning theory and neurophysiology helps in the understanding and treatment of Canine Aggression. This foundation allows a relevant history to be taken. After taking this course, you should be more confident in your ability to assess the prognosis for each case presented to you and to formulate an appropriate management strategy.
