Equine odontoclastic tooth resorption and hypercementosis (EOTRH) is a painful progressive condition of older horses that involves multiple teeth, including canines and incisors.

Exotic Small Mammal Medicine

This course provides an overview of the common diseases seen in small exotic mammals. We will discuss handling techniques, presentation, clinical signs, diagnostics, treatment and lesions of common diseases in hamsters, mice, rats, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, ferrets, sugar gliders, groundhogs and hedgehogs.

Neonatal Wildlife Medicine
April 5 - May 13, 2016

The primary purpose of this course is to provide a basic understanding of the principles of care for neonatal North American wildlife. The course will include details on the common syndromes and diseases with which orphaned or abducted wildlife patients present to a clinic, the approach to triage, emergency treatment and monitoring of the wildlife patient, the most notable infectious and non-infectious diseases of wildlife, and the public health and legal implications of treating wildlife.
