Effects of intrauterine infusion of a water-based suspension of enrofloxacin on mare endometrium
Intrauterine infusion of a commercial preparation of enrofloxacin has been shown to produce severe inflammation and irreversible deterioration of endometrial biopsy scores in mares. Intrauterine infusion of a water-based enrofloxacin solution produced only a transient inflammatory response and may be useful for the treatment of bacterial endometritis sensitive to enrofloxacin without the deleterious effects seen with the administration of the commercial preparation.

Angiostrongylus vasorum DNA was demonstrated in skin biopsies. Chest radiographs were compatible with verminous pneumonia and a Baermann test revealed A. vasorum larvae. The dog was treated orally with fenbendazole, with rapid improvement and complete cure after 3 months.

Parrot Attacks Owner When Phone Rings
I've seen this behavior in a fair number of dogs, as well. It can be difficult to treat because of the nature of connectedness in our society. You definitely have to start with...

Do You Feel Guilty After Negative Exploratory Surgery?
The way I manage anxiety over these cases is to be frank with the owner about what's happening. We are making informed, not perfect, decisions, based on what we know at that moment in time. There are pros and cons. Advise the clients of all possible pathways and outcomes. I find that people flip out less when they've been warned that we might eventually end up where we in fact end up (i.e., "negative" explore).
