Course Information:
This presentation covers numerous inhalant anesthetics and discusses the potential risks associated with direct exposure to waste anesthetic gases. Many suggestions are offered to protect oneself from unnecessary exposure.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to:
  • Identify sources of waste anesthetic gases.
  • Describe prevention methods.
  • Explain exposure control strategies.
  • Recognize adverse exposure effects.
Level and Prerequisites: This intermediate VSPN CE non-interactive course will be open to veterinary technicians/technologists, support staff, etc. - actively interested in anesthetic risks.
