Course RTS Times in Your Area: World Clock Converter Level and Prerequisites: This basic course will be open to veterinarians interested in the diagnosis and treatment of canine hypoadrenocorticism. There is no specific prerequisite experience or knowledge required for this course.

Addison's disease is uncommon, but usually fatal if undiagnosed. However, if you catch it, patients usually do great, and you look like a hero! This course will detail how to recognize, diagnose, and treat hypoadrenocorticism. We will discuss less expensive ways to diagnose it (and rule it out), along with chronic and acute management. Diagnosis and treatment of atypical hypoadrenocorticism will also be covered. Week 1 (Real Time Session May 19, 2020): Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Hypoadrenocorticism

- Recognize the clinical signs of hypoadrenocorticism.
- Diagnose Addison's disease using the most cost-effective protocol.
- Understand medical therapy of chronic hypoadrenocorticism.

Patty Lathan received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed a small animal internal medicine residency at Purdue University. Following board certification by the ACVIM, she returned to Mississippi State University, where she had previously completed her internship. Total CE Credit: 3
