Course Information:
In this CE course Dr. Steiner reviews the current standard of care for dogs with pancreatitis and also presents an overview over fuzapladib (Panoquell(R) CA-1), a novel drug that recently achieved conditional approval by the FDA for the treatment of pancreatitis in dogs.
Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
- review the current standard of care for acute pancreatitis in dogs.
- describe the mechanism of action for fuzapladib.
- explain how fuzapladib could improve the course of disease in dogs with pancreatitis.
Level and Prerequisites: This basic VIN CE course is open for enrollment to veterinarians interested in the drug options for and treatment of pancreatitis in dogs.
Credit Approval: This course is approved for 2 hours of continuing education credit by RACE for veterinarians. (RACE 20-1168574)

This session will discuss an overview over fuzapladib (Panoquell(R) CA-1), a novel drug that recently achieved conditional approval by the FDA for the treatment of pancreatitis in dogs.
Successful completion (scoring 80% or better) on the end-of-course test is required to earn a certificate of completion for the course.
