Course Information:
Identifying equine glaucoma can be tricky. I will review normal anatomy and examination techniques to use in the field to obtain a good ophthalmic examination. There are few causes of glaucoma in horses and we will talk about all of them including common clinical signs and the best treatment options for the field or at the hospital.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
- determine what is normal or abnormal in an equine ophthalmic examination.
- identify the clinical signs associated with equine glaucoma and the conditions that can lead to it.
- understand all treatment options for equine glaucoma whether that be in the field or in a hospital setting.
Level and Prerequisites: This intermediate VIN CE course is open for enrollment to veterinarians interested in equine glaucoma.
Accreditation: This course is approved for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit by RACE for veterinarians. (RACE 20-974320)

- VSPN CE courses are open to veterinary support staff and veterinarians.
- Only VIN and VSPN members can enroll in a VSPN CE course.
- Veterinarians will only receive credit for those VSPN CE courses that specify in the Accreditation statement that the course is accredited for veterinarians.
