Course Information:
In this course we will discuss how to approach nutrition cases, first reviewing the nutritional assessment process and a step-by-step approach to nutritional case management. While this step-by-step approach to cases is standardized, it encourages patients to be addressed as individuals and allows for a nutritional plan to be customized. The majority of this course will be focused on strategies to manage feline cases with nutrition, with a focus on cats with chronic kidney disease and lower urinary tract disease. Specific cases will be discussed in depth to provide examples.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to
  • review the nutritional assessment process.
