intermediate course will be open to 
veterinarians actively interested in gastrointestinal adverse food reactions.

This course has been submitted for RACE approval for veterinarians. 
Course Information:
In this course, we will review the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and nutritional 
management of gastrointestinal adverse food reactions.  In the nutritional 
management section, we will discuss nutrients of concern, goals for feeding 
management, and diet selection for patients with gastrointestinal adverse 
food reactions.
Week 1 (Real Time Session June 13, 2016)

Objectives: Upon completion of this session, the participant should be able to
- understand the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal adverse food reactions.
 - perform a diagnostic food elimination-challenge trial for diagnosis 
	of gastrointestinal adverse food reactions.
 
- discuss nutrients of concern and goals for feeding management for patients 
	with gastrointestinal adverse food reactions.
 
- select a diet and feeding plan for patients with gastrointestinal adverse 
	food reactions.
  
Successful completion (scoring 80% or better) on the end-of-course test is required 
to earn a certificate of completion for the course.

About the Presenter:
Dr. Catherine Lenox graduated from veterinary school at the 
University of Missouri in 2007. She then went on to complete a small animal 
medicine and surgery internship at Colorado State University and a small animal 
nutrition residency at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. 
She was board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Nutrition in 2011. 
Dr. Lenox is also certified in veterinary acupuncture. After three years in specialty 
practice, Dr. Lenox joined Royal Canin USA in 2014. She is currently Scientific Affairs 
Manager at Royal Canin USA.
