MULT203-0810: Organ System and ABVP Core Examination Review Module C

Course Coordinator:
Dr. Katherine M. James, DVM, PhD, DACVIM

DATES:
August 19 - October 21, 2010
Interactive sessions: Thursdays; 9:30 - 11:30 pm ET (US)

COURSE DESCRIPTION
Each module provides a systematic review of the highlights of physiology & pathophysiology of the organ systems included in that section. Although the course cannot provide specifically an examination-preparation centered focus, those preparing for the exam will be able to use the 3 modules of this course as a foundation of their preparation for the ABVP Core Examination. It is designed to keep them moving systematically along through the varied topics necessary for that examination. Even if you aren't going to take the exam, the depth and breadth of this material will provide you with an up-to-date review of organ system pathophysiology and medicine, based primarily on small animal species examples.

Module C includes the following topics: Cardiology, Reproduction, Respiratory, Coagulation, Oncology, Behavior, Ophthalmology.

Within these topics, you will learn the important pathophysiologic mechanisms that underlie the diagnosis and treatment of disease in dogs and cats.
Note: Although we try to keep the topics in the various modules consistent from year to year, some changes are possible, so for those taking the different modules in different calendar years, some repetition is possible.
